Giovannie Pierre-Louis, professionally known as Giovannie or Gio for short, born in Brooklyn, New York.
Gio's Italian mother and Haitian and Nigerian father instilled in her a deep appreciation for the finer things in life and a passion for music.Gio is also the owner and CEO of her own television and entertainment company “Royalty Niore” and has always been passionate about music since childhood. It’s no surprise that she has such a musical talent, considering her family’s musical heritage. Her father was a producer and sound engineer, while her uncle was a guitarist, bassist, and pianist in the Kompa group ZORO. Gio recently collaborated with Drake’s team, who have been instrumental in mentoring her career. Gio has work with industry stars such as Kodak Black, Fivio Foreign, and Kanye West, Gio's dedication to her craft plays significant role in her artistic and entrepreneurial growth.
Gio’s musical development is influenced by Nigerian music, which is a blend of European music, primarily French, and Spanish-infused elements. Artists like Shade Adu, Onyeka Onwenu, Shakira, and Wyclef Jean have played a significant role in shaping Gio’s musical style. Gio has been sponsored by various brands and corporations, including Fashion Nova, Cadillac, Smirnoff, Kellogg, Mercedes, Sprint, and Premiere Water. Additionally, Gio’s influence has been evident in popular television shows like Hawaii 50, Rosewood, Pacific Rim, Fast and Furious, and the Transformers franchise. Gio recently made an appearance on the Love and Hip Hop franchise.
